Soren is a male Barn owl, and the current king of the Great Ga'Hoole Tree. He makes an appearance in The Den of Forever Frost in which he calls an emergency parliament meeting. He is described as "elderly", but he seemed to be in perfect health. Soren is also the leader of the Chaw of Chaws, who's members he seems to regard like siblings, having a brother-like relationship with Otulissa, an old friend.
