Third is the last born cub of Taaka. He was rather neglected by her, and he later escaped her and found Stellan and Jytte. He is said to have strange dreams.
These strange dreams is what prompted Taaka to attempt give up third to the Rougers so the cub could become a tick-tock. However, Third senses this and manages to escape before the Rougers could take him.
